Boring. I love travel adventures and I love stories about women explorers. This book just reads like a horizontal timeline. She went from A to B, via steamship, camel, cart, whatever. She spent six weeks at B and met with some important European people. While there she saw something interesting and you'll get a paragraph at best about it. No color, no personality, very little interesting about what she experienced and the people she met. Very disappointed. This historical portrait of a pioneering lady traveller, gives a real facinating insight of the world in the 1800s, including places that many of us have never been too.Compelling read, highly recommended.
